So Worth It

American Made Heritage

These are our classics.
Heirloom-quality, American-made, with elegant lines and custom details, these hats are smart.

Our Heritage hats are crafted from materials that have been meticulously selected to ensure they’ll last a lifetime.

We work with premium wool from Rambouillet sheep in Texas, traditional grosgrain bands, and top-quality leathers and trims.

Quality matters.
We care.

You can feel and see the unique, beautiful result in the construction of every Heritage hat we make.

Meticulous, time-honored

When you’ve been making hats for as long as we have,
you’ve got plenty of time to perfect the particulars.
We started in 1895, when Cassel Goorin first sold his custom hats
from a horse-drawn cart on the streets on Pittsburgh,
and just like the hats we make, we’ve only gotten better with time.

The factory we work with was founded in 1868. They’re proud to be America’s oldest hatmaker, and we’re proud to partner with them.

We shape the hats on some of the same milliner’s blocks first used well over a hundred years ago. These legacy shapes are the foundation of our Heritage line’s traditional quality and timeless appeal.

It takes 23 days to make a Heritage hat.

Artful, creative

These are quality pieces, carefully made.
And while we don’t play favorites, we are especially proud of these legacy styles.

Classic shapes and trims are the hallmark of our Heritage line. Each piece in our collection is a reflection of the past, updated for the present, and designed with an eye towards the future.

We write out recipes for every hat we create, which includes a special blueprint for the body, brim, band, finish, bow, and sweatband. We’ve even got a color archive that dates back decades, so we can select the perfect complimentary shade for each unique hat.

Our inspiration comes from many sources: vintage shopping, travel, and architecture are a few favorites.
