The Details: Sea Monster is molded from Block No.18 like our core style Night Hawk. A 4" tall teardrop crown with a 3" brim width, this guy will be just slightly wider than Night Hawk. The snap brim and raw edge creates a flare like denim from the 1970's. The body is 100% merino wool, the sweatband is leather, and the hat band has a double layer and multiple texture element to it.
Why We Love It: The color of Sea Monster is striking yet neutral enough to pair with any wardrobe. A muted green so it picks up whatever you outfit it with - earth tones, neutrals, or pops of color. The block itself is one of our easiest blocks for a wider brim feel, but not too tall or overwhelming on the head. But what's the best part for me is the layered hat band detailing. There is a velvet band in a complementary hue, and an embossed leather thinner band layered on top. It creates such good textures and brings this hat up a whole notch.
