Store Manager

We are currently searching for a Store Manager for our hat shop located at 1427 Walnut St., Philadelphia.

As a leader in our company, you will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate your team to create memorable experiences for anyone who comes into your store. You will establish your store as a part of the local community through unique events and relationships with your neighborhood and customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Recruiting, hiring, training and developing employees at varying levels
  • Clienteling
  • Driving sales and meeting Key Performance Indicator and sales goals
  • Motivating the sales team
  • Driving business through a compelling visual presentation
  • Ensuring operational excellence
  • Driving brand awareness through social media and shop events
  • Working with home office business partners to ensure a great in-store experience

    Production Assistant

    San Francisco, CA

    Goorin Bros is looking for a Production Assistant to join our Home Office team. The Production Assistant supports the Production Department with all aspects of the production process, ensuring factories have all the information pertinent to creating and delivering a quality product on a large scale and in a timely manner. 

    Goorin Bros HQ is located in San Francisco, CA in the Mission District right next to Franklin Square.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Data entry for the creation, submission, and processing of various business and marketing documents within varying systems.
  • Purchase order coordination with key vendors involving product trims and any other components critical to the final production and shipment of goods.
  • Ongoing communication of delayed shipments, quality control issues, and any other issues to all appropriate departments.
  • Research and update shipment tracking information within various business systems.
  • Maintain and enforce production and shipping procedures with vendors for stock, dropship, and other special shipping needs.
  • Ability to take on special projects as needed.
  • Skills & Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of work experience or equivalent experience in product development or production; preferably in retail/fashion space
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Knowledge of development/production cycle timeline
  • Intermediate level Outlook and Excel skills
  • SAP or similar database experience a plus
  • Experience working with outside vendors and maintaining relationships

    We are currently searching for Sales Associates with prior sales and/or customer service experience for our Bay Area hat shops. Weekend availability required. The shops are located in the Elmwood neighborhood of Berkeley and the North Beach, Union Square and Haight/Ashbury neighborhoods of San Francisco.

    Product Development Coordinator

    San Francisco, CA

    We are looking for a Product Development & Production Coordinator to join Goorin Bros. family of hatters.

    Established in 1895, Goorin Bros. is an iconic hat brand with a history and integrity that is now in its fourth generation of leadership.     Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the sample room, making sure samples are organized, put away at the end of each day, properly labeled and shelved
  • Receive, unpack, photograph, label, track, manage and record all incoming samples for retail, wholesale and photography
  • Maintain line sheet process; own data entry for all products in the Product Lifecycle Management System
  • Display samples in appropriate seasonal shelving area
  • Ensure samples are organized and moved from product rooms to sample archives upon approval
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to drive efficiency and simplicity
  • Conduct bi-annual review of archival sample areas and direct obsolete samples to the company sample sale
  • Create process to document all samples lent out for catalog, web, marketing and photography and ensure their timely returns
  • Ship samples/fabric out to vendors
  • Create and set up styles/skus (data entry) into our order management system
  • Maintain accuracy of PLM system/and or SAP system
  • Prepare salesman sample (SMS) & Top of Production (TOP) requests
  • Manage and organize trim & label Inventory for each vendor
  • Eventually work to review samples for quality call outs in both development and production phase
  • We’re excited about you if you have:

  • 1-2 years of work experience or equivalent experience in product development or production; preferably in retail/fashion space
  • Knowledge of development/production cycle timeline
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook; bonus if you have experience in the Adobe Suite, PLM & SAP
  • Passion and excitement for the retail/fashion industry (super bonus: you love hats!)
  • Ability to be flexible and agile with constant changes and time restraints; able to learn on-the-fly
  • Strong written and oral communication, problem-solving and follow-up skills; must act as a proactive team player
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities
  • A sense of urgency in managing time and accomplishing tasks
