What You Will Be Doing

We are committed to ensuring the authenticity and integrity of our products in the marketplace. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Brand Protection Manager with expertise in combating counterfeiting to join our Supply Chain team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our ongoing efforts in protecting our brand and customers from the risks associated with counterfeit products.

As the Brand Protection Manager - Counterfeiting Prevention, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to combat counterfeiting activities across our global operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Sales, and Brand, to establish robust compliance frameworks and drive initiatives that minimize counterfeit risks. The ideal candidate for this position will be a dedicated and motivated professional who is passionate about protecting the company's brand integrity and ensuring compliance with counterfeiting laws and regulations worldwide.

·      Develop and execute a comprehensive global strategy for combating counterfeiting, in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Sales, and Brand.

·      Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend preventive measures to mitigate counterfeiting threats.

·      Collaborate with Legal, ensuring compliance with intellectual property rights, anti-counterfeiting laws, and regulatory frameworks related to counterfeiting prevention.

·      Work closely with the Sales and Brand teams to establish and enforce compliance programs, contracts, policies, and procedures that safeguard Goorin Bros' brand integrity and reputation.

·      Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to counterfeiting prevention, and ensure timely implementation of necessary updates and enhancements.

·      Foster partnerships with external organizations, industry associations, and law enforcement agencies to enhance intelligence sharing, collaborate on investigations, and collectively combat counterfeiting activities.

·      Lead and coordinate investigations into suspected counterfeit activities, collaborating with Legal and relevant stakeholders to take appropriate enforcement actions.

·      Conduct training sessions and awareness campaigns for employees and business partners, educating them about the risks of counterfeiting and their role in compliance efforts.

·      Monitor market trends, counterfeit seizure data, and enforcement actions to identify patterns, trends, and emerging risks, and develop proactive strategies to mitigate future threats.

·      Prepare regular reports and presentations on counterfeiting prevention activities, metrics, and progress for senior management and other relevant stakeholders.

Skills & Experience Required

·      3+ years of proven experience in a similar role, with a focus on global compliance and counterfeiting prevention.

·      In-depth knowledge of intellectual property rights, anti-counterfeiting laws, and regulatory frameworks related to counterfeiting prevention.

·      Strong understanding of third-party online marketplace platforms

·      Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct research and analysis of global markets and identify potential risks to the company’s brand reputation and intellectual property assets.

·      Strong understanding of sales and brand management, and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

·      Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and procedures.

·      Familiarity with advanced anti-counterfeiting technologies, authentication methods, and digital platforms used in brand protection.

·      Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess risks, identify patterns, and develop proactive strategies.

·      Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

·      Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.

·      Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
